Daily Standup

This application will need you to connect an Airtable Base as a data source, for storing all the standup updates from the team. You’ll need to update your key’s from Airtable, but once done you should be able to share your minimal standup app with your entire team!

Steps to fork the App

  • Firstly, you should have an Appsmith account; if not, sign-up here (it's free)!
  • Now, open the Standup application template by clicking here. You'll find a fork button on the top-right of the application.
  • Click the fork button and fork it to your organisation. Now you should see the application under your organisation.

The application is connected to Airtable Base, hence to use this you’ll have to create a new base of your own with the following fields:

  1. Name
  2. Date
  3. Today
  4. Yesterday
  5. Blocked

You can also copy/duplicate the Airtable base from this link.

Now replace the API’s headers with your Airtable authentication token in the existing APIs (create_entry, get_entries). Lastly, you can make the app public, deploy it by clicking on the deploy button on the top right and invite your teammates!

Setting up Airtable Authentication

To find the authentication token, you’ll need to navigate your profile page and generate a new token here.

  • You can also look at all the APIs by navigating to Airtable’s REST API page here.
  • Now, you should see all your Airtable bases under this page. Select the base that’s associated with the standup app.
  • Here, you’ll find all the relevant API’s that you can use concerning the standup application.
